The Isolation Procedures Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS) provides details of the health and safety precautions to be followed when shutting down plant, processes and machinery in all locations (including confined spaces) to allow work to be carried out safely.
The SWMS provides details of the pre-start checks to be carried out, procedures for the effective isolation of all energy sources (including stored energy, procedures to prevent accidental or unauthorised reactivation of the plant or process, and lock out-tag out (LOTO) procedures to ensure the safety of individual workers engaged in the task.
