The Refrigeration Units Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS) outlines the main hazards and risks associated with the installation, cleaning, servicing and maintenance of self-contained refrigeration units used for cold rooms, refrigerated vehicles and containers, and display units, etc. The SWMS does not apply to reticulated refrigeration systems.
The SWMS provides details of the health and safety precautions (including personal protective equipment) required when carrying out work on refrigeration units.
