The Plumbing and Gasfitting Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS) outlines the main hazards and risks including hazardous manual tasks, use of plant and equipment, hazardous chemicals and risk of falls in workplaces where plumbing and gasfitting work is being undertaken. The SWMS does not cover waste water, sewerage or drainage works.
The SWMS provides details of the health and safety precautions (including al protective equipment) to be observed when carrying out plumbing and gasfitting work.
