The Lead-based Paint Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS) outlines the main hazards and risks associated with the removal of lead-based paint that may be encountered during work in older residences, buildings and structures (including metal structures).
The SWMS provides details of the inspections and testing to be carried out to determine if lead-based paint is present, and details of the training required and health and safety precautions to be followed by persons who will be engaged in work involving the removal of lead-based paint from surfaces, and the health and safety precautions to be observed if lead-based paint is to be used.
