The Events – Live Band Set up Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS) outlines the main hazards and risks associated with the setting up of sound and lighting equipment for live music, etc., performances in public venues or events including work near traffic, hazardous manual tasks, electrical hazards, risk of falls, noise and working in hot conditions.
The SWMS does not cover setting up for large-scale events in venues such as stadiums, large concert halls, convention centres, etc., or large open-air single-stage events.
The SWMS provides details of the health and safety precautions (including protective equipment) required when setting up equipment in venues and at events.
